Who we are

edTalks Academy is operated by the company named at the top of this page. When these terms say we or us, they mean that company.

Your account

You sign in with an email link or with Google. Keep access to your email account secure, because anyone who can read your email can sign in as you. Give your real name if you want it on certificates.

You must be 18 or over and use the Academy for your own professional development or for your organisation's staff.

What you can do with the content

Talks, clips, readings, templates and quizzes are licensed to you for your own professional learning and for use with your own classes and colleagues. You may share clip links. You may not download, re-upload, sell or redistribute the video, or present the materials as your own training product.

Your submissions

Task evidence, reflections and portfolios stay yours. You give us permission to store and process them so we can run the module, review portfolios and issue certificates. Do not upload anything that identifies a pupil: no names, faces, work with names on it, or school records.

Payments, renewals and refunds

Prices are shown before you pay and are charged by our payment provider. Subscriptions renew until you cancel in your account. If you are a consumer in the UK or EU, you have 14 days to cancel a purchase; if you start a module in that time you agree that the right ends once the content has been provided.

Certificates

Certificates record that you completed a module or pathway on the date shown. Anyone with the verification code can check it. We may revoke a certificate issued by mistake or through misuse, and the verification page will then say so.

The library tutor and machine translation

The tutor answers from edTalks transcripts and says when it cannot. Machine translations are marked as such. Both can be wrong: check anything important against the source, and use the report link if an answer is inaccurate or harmful.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to access other people's data, break security, scrape the service, share your account, or use the Academy to harass anyone. We may suspend accounts that do.

Liability

We provide the Academy with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes and law

If we change these terms we will show you the new version and ask you to accept it before you continue. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales; consumers keep the protections of the country where they live.
