Sign-in session, language and theme choices, and your cookie choice itself. These are HttpOnly, sent only to edTalks Academy, and needed for the site to work, so they cannot be switched off.
Analytics
We count how the Academy is used (for example, which modules are started and completed) with PostHog, hosted in the EU. Events use a pseudonymous identifier and never your email or name. You can opt out in the banner, on this page, or in your account settings; after that no events are sent for you.
Video providers
Public talks play through YouTube, which may set its own cookies when you press play. Paid clips stream from Cloudflare Stream through signed, expiring links.
